Hi, and welcome to Automobile-Theft.com. We are an independent Non-Profit site, established to help increase the knowledge and awareness of automobile theft – how and why it is done, the motives behind it, the best ways of prevention, reducing the odds of your own car being targeted, and finally what course of action to take if the worst happens and your car is stolen.
Thankfully car theft numbers are slowly decreasing thanks to both technological advances by the car manufacturers, and government legislation that requires higher levels of security fitted as standard to new cars, but unfortunately the problem will not go away. What this website can offer you is some simple guidelines to minimise your chances of being the victim, and if everyone would take these cheap and easy to follow courses of action, theft numbers would be reduced drastically and the cost of all our motor insurance policies would come down!

Finally the ‘Theft Methods’ section looks at all the different ways criminals use to steal a car, with some official statistics to show how common each type of crime is.
